Gabriel V. Kory

Gabriel V. Kory is a third-generation Arizonan and a nationally recognized advocate for victims of elder abuse and neglect. Selected as one of the Top 10 Nursing Home Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers and the Nursing Home Trial Lawyers Association, Gabe has devoted his career to protecting vulnerable seniors and holding negligent facilities accountable.

Born and raised in Nogales, Arizona, Gabe’s family has called southern Arizona home for nearly a century. He earned both his undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees from Arizona State University and expanded his education abroad—studying International Commercial Trade Law at EGADE, Tec de Monterrey in Mexico, and earning a minor in Spanish at Estudio Internacional Sampere in Madrid, Spain.

Gabe began his career defending hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. That early experience gave him a rare understanding of how these institutions operate—knowledge he has spent the last two decades using on behalf of victims and their families. As a founding partner of Miller Kory Rowe, Gabe leads the firm’s elder abuse and neglect litigation group, where he and his team have successfully prosecuted hundreds of cases across Arizona. These matters often blend complex medical negligence issues with corporate misconduct—an area where Gabe’s insight and tenacity have earned widespread respect.

In addition to his work in the courtroom, Gabe serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, where he teaches future physicians how to identify and respond to signs of elder abuse and neglect. He is a member of the Arizona Geriatric Society (AMDA) and serves on the Board of the Military Assistance Mission, which provides financial and emotional support to Arizona’s active-duty military members, their families, and Post-9/11 Purple Heart recipients.

Outside the office

Gabe’s love for the Arizona wilderness runs deep. When he’s not in trial, you’ll likely find him in the mountains—backcountry skiing, trail running, or backpacking with his dog, who doubles as the MKR office mascot. Before becoming an attorney, Gabe worked as a swimming instructor and scuba dive master, experiences that reflect the calm focus and endurance he now brings to every case.
